Virginia > This subway entrance to the Père Lachaise métro stop is near the end of the Avenue de la République  where it intersects with the Place Auguste Métivier. The main entrance to the station is on Ménilmontant  across from the Père Lachaise cemetery and just a 5 minute walk from the apartments.   The Père Lachaise métro is on both the number 2 and the number 3 lines.
Virginia > The Boulevard de Ménilmontant is a divided street lined with a variety of businesses, including a small supermarket,.  It is the demarcation between the 11th and the 20th arrondissements.
Virginia > This is the newsstand where Charles picks up a selection of French newspapers and the International Herald Tribune every day  except Sunday.  (The major papers publish a Saturday/Sunday combined addition.)  It is located on the corner of Ménilmontant and Oberkampf.
Virginia > Characteristic Parisian advertising kiosk near the newsstand and the subway entrance.
Virginia > The Rue Oberkampf turns into the Rue de Ménilmontant (as opposed to the Boulevard) where the 11th arrondissement gives way to the 20th.
Virginia > The Cathedral de la Croix is found just off of the Rue de Ménilmontant.
Virginia > One of the local bistrots on the Boulevard de Ménilmontant.
Virginia > This small restaurant on the Boulevard de Ménilmotant attracts a young crowd and is really hopping at night.
Virginia > Colorful political posters are often found on building walls.
