Virginia > I love this picture taken of the corner of the Passage Montplaisir -- a pedestrian street in the 20th arr. -- and Boulevard de Ménilmontant.
Virginia > The young man who works at this appliance store on Ménilmontant saw that I had a camera and asked if he could pose for a picture.

Virginia > Franprix is one of a chain of supermarkets in the city. This one is on Ménilmontant in the direction of Père Lachaise.
Virginia > It is hard not to pause and take a look at some of the intriguing "antiques" in the window of this shop.
Virginia > The Lycée Voltaire is an imposing building on Boulevard de Ménilmontant.
Virginia > This shop, without a name, is on the corner of Boulevatd de Ménilmontant and the Place Auguste Métivier. Just to the right are two ATM machines. Your US ATM card will work just fine there.
Virginia > Looking up as you stroll down Ménilmontant offers views of shuttered windows and pretty window boxes.
Virginia > There is a bus stop at the Place Auguste Métivier, a five minute walk from the apartments. Here you can take the number 69 bus with an end point at the Champ de Mars (Eiffel Tower), or the number 61 which goes to the Gare Austerlitz (adjacent to the Jardin des Plantes). As a rule, buses take longer than the métro to get to a given point, but they offer much nicer sight seeing opportunities.
