Being in Paris during Paris Plage 2005 was a thrill and I spent much of my limited spare time photographing along the quais of the right bank of the Seine where the city of Paris had set up a seemingly endless series of entertainments. This gallery, which is very much a work in progress, is my attempt to convey something of the feeling of this unique summer happening that is designed not for tourists but for Parisians of all ages who do not or cannot escape the city during the warmest days of summer. There are photos to add and photos to subtract before the gallery is finished and, as I work on completing it, I not only welcome but solicit your comments and suggestions for making it an effective and enjoyable photo essay.
